Available only on the Kettler Air Navigator and Kettler Air Happy, the Kettler pneumatic Komfy-Ride™ tires are tubeless AIR tires on sealed ball bearings for superior performance, easier cursing, road gripping traction and responsive maneuvering.  The other Kettler tricycles (Navigator, Jumbo, Oceana, Junior and Blossom) come with high-quality Kettler synthetic MaxXtread™ tires.

The Kettler patented Parental Control System™ is a steering lock mechanism that locks the handlebars into place for parental guidance and to aid in steering with the optional pushbar.  (Without the lock in place the child can swerve back and forth making it difficult for the parent to guide and keep the tricycle moving along.  With the lock in place, it is easy for the parent to push the tricycle using the push bar while the child still feels in control.)

The Kettler patented Limited Turn Radius™ mechanism is an  internal mechanism that restricts the tricycle front wheel from turning more than 45 degrees to the left or right, helping to prevent tipping.  ALL KETTRIKE TRICYCLES have the Limited Turn Radius™ feature.

The Kettler patented 3 in 1 Auto-Freewheel™ is an integrated automatic freewheel coasting hub that keeps the pedals from moving even while you push (with the optional push bar), and allows kids to rest their feet on the pedals while parents guide them.  3-in-1: Pedal forward for motion, reverse pedal to brake, motionless pedals for COASTING.  (Without the Auto-Free Wheel™ option, the child cannot just rest their feet on the pedals while being pushed by a parent using the push bar.)

Coaster Brakes are activated by reverse pedaling.  Only the Kettler Jumbo and the Kettler Air Happy have the Hand Brake in addition to coaster brakes.

The patented KettlerTipping Bucket  provides hours of FUN!  Children enjoy hauling and dumping sand or dirt. or they can tote along their favorite soft animals or dolls for the ride.  The Tipping Bucket is removable and detaches without tools.   

The Kettler Navigation Steering System is a tri-wheel steering system that allows the rear wheels to turn and be steered, thereby letting the parents guide the child while pushing the tricycle with the optional push bar.  The system uses a sliding On/Off device under the tricycle to engage or disengage the steering system.  No cables. The Kettler Navigation Steering system is available only as a feature of the Kettler Air Navigator and the Kettler Navigator.

 (When using the push bar with Kettler tricycles that do not have the rear wheel navigation steering mechanism, in order to turn the tricycle the parent must simply push down slightly on the push bar to slightly lift the tricycle front wheel, then turn the tricycle.  The rear wheel steering just makes it easier for parents to steer, and allows parents to steer without having to push down on the push bar.  No need to push down on the push bar /  lift the front wheel to turn when the rear wheel steering is activated on the Air Navigator or Navigator tricycles.)
